front brake pads - fazersteve1000 - 04-05-16
well I just been on the internet trying to find how much genuine front brake pads are for my 2005 fzs1000,i not got a price yet, but I not in a rush its just that after fitting a new Yamaha clutch cable a few weeks ago that changed the whole bike I wondered what difference there be if i refitted my original brake pads that were fitted when I purchased the bike new on 1st March 2006,i had EBC HH in for some years but I don't think they be going back in(well not until I find out the price of OEM ones! the original pads are so much quieter,smoother,more feel & more powerful,i am not saying don't buy aftermarket parts but it been quite a shock to find out how good the OEM pads are,i will have to consider OEM pads as I believe they may be organic material which may not wear the disc much as all these HH sinstered pads appear to do,cheers Steve

I'm sure I read a recent post that a 100,000+ mile bike was still on original discs and the owner had always used stock pads.That's a good enough testament for me when the time comes for pad renewal.
