I like your style unfazed, seems to me to be a good workaround as that 1K looks nice, only 17,000 on the clock, ONO price is right for £2,000 cash.
what holding him up? If it was me I would phone the man and talk to him about the bike, try to get the feel of the man and the bike (When I say feel of the man you know what I mean sailor) tell him its a long way from home and that there is £2,000 available and what are the chances of making a purchase if it seems the right bike?
He pays you to pillion him up there and ride back together. Jobs-a-goodun. :lol

Re: WANTED: Fazer 1000, up to £2k, Gloucestershire area - Worsel - 30-04-16

Thanks yes saw ghostbikers and was about to buy it, then found it was a Cat C which didn't work for me. I'm sure it will suit someone though and has all the mods. There's one in Swindon I rode today which was good but standard, so holding out on seeing Fazerlads soon as I can :-)

I could never understand the reluctance of buying a Cat C or D if it has been repaired properly :rolleyes

Maybe the PRICE was more to your liking ! however some owners think there still worth top dollar, there dreaming, start at 40% less for cat D, be careful with cat C some insurance co will not touch these. Cat D are insurance friendly but I'm very weary of any bike that Is registered as cat, one man makes the decision by a visual inspection and sometimes the damage details are past from the savage co to insurance bod and they tick either cat d or c but the reality is damage passes to frame and cannot be seen, bikes don't ride straight, you come to a bend and it tries to kill you rather than track perfectly.

Nah be careful if you buy any cat bike and only buy one that you can see before and after pictures to see that the damage is exactly as described because sellers are liars and always talk cat bikes down, dealers dont retail em because there not finance able and the history can be questionable.

Thanks Flakey, I recognise one of the pics of that bike, I think it was for sale previously and went for £1,700. Am looking at a couple others, will go see it if they don't suit :-)

I have bought two gen1's without personally viewing them over the years. Both on this site and were exactly as described. I paid £140 to have them delivered by courier. I simply asked lot's of questions and for lot's of photographs and all receipts, service history, tyres etc... Don't be put off by distance.. Just make sure you get enough photos and answers to your questions Smile
