Where can I get this bracket? - Aky208 - 24-04-16 Took off the front fairing last night on my fox eye. But in doing so the bolt that holds the right hand side to the chassis, sheared off. Have tried getting the remaining stud out but it's proving a pain so want to replace the bracket instead. Can anyone tell me what it's called and where I can source one from please? Tried searching but can only find the bracket that holds the mirrors. ![]() Re: Where can I get this bracket? - Arfa - 24-04-16 I previously got these from Fowlers: https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/4181577/fzs600-fazer-5rt4-2003-070-a/cowling-1 Yours a Foxeye? If so, part numbers: BRACKET 1 5RT-2836A-00 BRACKET 2 5RT-2836E-00 Just under a tenner each. Re: Where can I get this bracket? - bandit - 24-04-16 Spray the stud with Plugas or a good releasing spray not WD40 if you can't get it out you can get one from A J Sutton item 17 Left or 18 right. https://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/genuineparts/9797/37/yamaha%20fzs600%20fazer/cowling%201?uID=0 Re: Where can I get this bracket? - Aky208 - 24-04-16 Thanks ![]() Re: Where can I get this bracket? - His Dudeness - 24-04-16 That should come out easy enough. You got loads of bolt left and easy access. Re: Where can I get this bracket? - Bretty - 25-04-16 Search an 'internet auction site' for "fzs600 breaking". You'll find all random bits, none of which you want. But sort by 'nearest to me' and message the local sellers and ask them if they have one. Bits like this are in low demand and should be proper cheap. That's obviously I you can't fix this bit. My front fairing is held on mostly by zipties. :eek Re: Where can I get this bracket? - joebloggs - 25-04-16 If your struggling to grip it you could weld a nut, piece of bar etc to it, the heat will free it off and you'll be able to remove it by putting a spanner on the nut |
