Always been a fan of D.I.D. X Ring chains personally, tried and tested and good value too.
Plenty about on Ebay or online in general.

Thanks darrsi!

Personally I always use EK or JMT chains, but if you replace the chain you need to replace the sprockets as well. Replacing one without the other will just considerably shorten the life of the components.

Not so long ago there was a rash of cheap Chinese knock off DID chains around- if the price is too good to be true it's probably a wrong un.

There is still a load of fake DID parts on Ebay.... the colour of the box isn't right and it contains poor quality Chinese parts.

I think i've normally found a good deal with M&P (or Busters, same people) as far as D.I.D. chains are concerned on Ebay, so you should at least be able to put a bit of faith in them.

Don't forget that there are two specs for DID X chain.

Re: Chain - after market or original - Val - 02-03-16

OEM chain is very good. There are better aftermarket ones.

Just to make it clear there are two types of chains based on the sealing O ring and X ring based. X ring are better sealing.

Also there are many types based on chain strenght.

And there are two types of chains available based on the rivet link pins:

Soft-head pin rivet link that can be riveted easily and hard-head pin rivet link ones that require better tool and skills.

I have called DID tech support to check what kind is their pin rivet for particular chains - they had no idea?

Tsubaki tech support on the other hand has explained to me which of their chains is soft-head pin and which one is hard-head pin.

I bought Tsubaki Alpha X ring Gold chain.

Make of that what you want  Smile

Dunno, All I'll say is that I have never bought from them and I have never had to pay for a tank of fuel in Swansea  :evil

And on a sidenote, I'll just say JT chains have a higher tensile strength that DID
