Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 06-02-16 I fitted a set of led indicators with load resistors for each indicator (fleabay) to slow the blink rate, but they are still too fast. How do i get them even slower? More load resistors? I have never had this issue with any of my other bikes.. Is this a common fazer issue? Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - Woodzey80 - 06-02-16 Buy the proper led relay, there on fleabay aswell Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 06-02-16 Is the fazer relay two pin or three pin Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - Woodzey80 - 06-02-16 I forget now, just get the seat off & pull the relay out to check Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 06-02-16 I'm out at the moment. I will check when i'm back. I didn't think the bike required an led relay when i have fitted inline led indicator resistors to each indicator. Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - Woodzey80 - 06-02-16 U need to proper butcher ur oem loom fitting them resistors & I hate that. Keep things simple (plug & play) abit more expensive but a better job ! Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - kitcrazy - 06-02-16 Anyone got any link's for some plug and play indicators please? Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - Smurfbud - 06-02-16 you can get dual relays which will work with both normal and LED indies ..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400225499951?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT hope this helps Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 06-02-16 I cut the wires close to the harness, so the original indicators can have bullet connectors attached if i want to reconnect them. The thing is i have fitted the inline resistors, but they still flash too quickly. I don't get it? If i buy an led flasher unit, that means i will have resistors for the indicators and an led relay. I should only need one or the other.... Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - Woodzey80 - 06-02-16 You should only need one or the other, are the resistors you fitted polarity sensitive do you know ? Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 06-02-16 I have tried them both ways round. If they are connected the wrong way round the indicators don't work. They have red and black wires so red's positive. Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 07-02-16 If i turn the hazard lights on they flash at correct rate.... The relay under the seat is not like the ones in the links it has a connector with 2 pins Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 07-02-16 The inline indicator resistors don't work, so i fitted an led relay and hey presto. I firstly left the inline resistors in place but noticed the indicators were quite dim at tick over, so i removed them and the flash rate is the same, but they are brighter. Happy days.. Inline resistors in bin. Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - Woodzey80 - 07-02-16 Glad u got it sorted ! I was out of ideas Re: Led indicators flashing too fast - nickodemon - 07-02-16 Cheers for your help... I bought the resistors from China ages ago.... I should know better :lol Here is a link to the sh*t resistors, so no one else buys them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262091968917 |
