Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - BBROWN1664 - 22-12-15

Does anyone have a copy for the 855i model?

I have managed to acquire myself at a seriously low price one of these monsters. It is a non-runner as the alarm wont reset. Simple solution is to remove the alarm as it is a plug in job but I don't have the loop back plug to refit.

What year? I've got the Haynes manual that covers the 955is.

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - unfazed - 22-12-15

Post a picture of the plug and I will see what I have.

I had to do this on a few Truimphs with alarm issues (never the 855i) and they may be the same

You can make your on loop back plug with the plug off the alarm side, it should only need two wires soldering together. There instructions online which wires to join. Done it myself a few times.

Like this.

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - unfazed - 22-12-15

That diagram is useless if the block connector is not numbered and a few of the bikes have different connectors.

Triumph dealers are not supposed to sell you the loop block connector without a copy of the registration documents.

How I know this is obvious  :lol

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - BBROWN1664 - 23-12-15

Thanks all.

The bike is a 2000 model Tiger 855i which has the alarm going off all the time. Even if the alarm wasn't faulty, I would remove it as I hate alarms on bikes.
A bypass plug has been ordered from a Triumph dealer now and should be with today or tomorrow. I just called the dealer that fitted the alarm 10 years ago and explained the problem. £3.69 for the loopback / bypass plug. Bargain. I bet the FZS600 one would be a bit more.

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - BBROWN1664 - 23-12-15

The Tiger is alive!!!

The bypass plug arrived at lunchtime with the post (Well done that dealer), plugged straight in and the bike fired up with a jump start.

Just need to do the other work to it now.

Glad to see you were sorted.
Fzs600 bypass plugs come with the bike :finger :lol

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - BBROWN1664 - 23-12-15

So do Trumpet ones Unfazed, they get removed when an alarm (spawn of the devil) is fitted and then get lost. :finger

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - unfazed - 23-12-15

That would never happen with an Fzs600 :pokefun

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - BBROWN1664 - 23-12-15

I would never fit an alarm to a Fazer

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - Frosties - 23-12-15

The very reason it would never happen on a fazer  :moon

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - BBROWN1664 - 23-12-15

Once I manage to clean it up I will take a picture for you Frostie. It has lived outside at my brothers house practically unused for a couple of years so it covered in crap.

Unfazed, I have an FZS600 in the garage too :pokefun

Re: Triumph Tiger wiring diagram - unfazed - 23-12-15

And you never had a problem looking for loop plug/s for it  :lol
