Wanted: satnav/smartphone mount kit/parts. - b1k3rdude - 14-12-15 Evening I am trying to make a custom mount to mount a waterproof smartphone, the reason being there are no pre-made kits available for this model. So I am after either a dual ball and socket arm, that I can either bolt to the handlebars or better the dash just under the screen. Or some other mounrting kit that I can modify to suit. I am need said kit this week and the sooner the better. thanks b. Re: Wanted: satnav/smartphone mount kit/parts. - RMT1983 - 14-12-15 What phone is it? Well I have made the first steap in a custom mount by bolting a nice 3.5mm thick L-shaped mild steel bracket to the underside of my windoscreen with rubber/foam washers/tape. All I need for this configuration is a quick release bracket or some sort. But that dosen't mean I can't use something else in it place like a dual ball-socket ram mount/arm. Re: Wanted: satnav/smartphone mount kit/parts. - RMT1983 - 17-12-15 Ive always used ultimate addons for my bikes, some very good waterproof cases for popular phones and I'm sure they have some cases that can be used for many other phones, just give them a shout with the measurements and I'm sure they will be able to sort something! My phones wired direct to the battery so Is always on charge whilst on the bike................ Re: Wanted: satnav/smartphone mount kit/parts. - Grahamm - 21-12-15 I've only just seen this, so it may be too late, but I've got one of the RAM Mounts for the TomTom Rider system if you're still looking. It's brand new, and complete (still in the sealed wrapping), £35 to you. |
