TPS Issue.. - infiniteloop - 18-11-15 Looks like the TPS has chucked it on my '98 Fazer 600. So I'm now after a replacement, do any of you guys know if the TPS from a 2004-2006 Fazer 600 would be suitable for my '98 model..? Or if anyone on here has a spare they would sell that would be ideal. Cheers in advance... Re: TPS Issue.. - unfazed - 19-11-15 TPS from the 04-06 will not fit The Yamaha part numbers which will fit are 4SV−85885−00 or 4HD-85885-00 The Suzuki part number 13550-13D60 will also fit and if you were buying new it is about one third the price of the Yamaha one. It is on a wide range of Suzukis. Search Ebay for the part numbers and see what crops us Re: TPS Issue.. - darrsi - 19-11-15 Had 2 TPS fail on me, but whatever Unfazed says is the law, trust me/him. Re: TPS Issue.. - darrsi - 19-11-15 What exactly is it doing, or what symptoms are being shown? Re: TPS Issue.. - infiniteloop - 19-11-15 Rev counter is jumping to 3000 revs then back to zero every few seconds…best price I can find on ebay is £50, is that a decent price..? Re: TPS Issue.. - BBROWN1664 - 19-11-15 That suggests its unplugged. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in again. Try with the ignition on and off. Re: TPS Issue.. - infiniteloop - 19-11-15 Hmmmm…?? Seem to be getting conflicting advice on this one, read previously that a reading of 3k revs indicates the TPS has packed in..? However I'll check all connections asap. Cheers.. Re: TPS Issue.. - darrsi - 19-11-15 Price is about right for a used one, I think I paid around £45 last time. Only downside is you won't know how long it will last unfortunately, bearing in mind how old it will be. Re: TPS Issue.. - infiniteloop - 20-11-15 This is very true darrsi..but the thought of handing over nearly £200 for a new one provokes a bout of vomiting.! I'll be hoping to sell the bike early next year after it gets its new MOT in january, so will have to have this problem sorted by then Re: TPS Issue.. - unfazed - 20-11-15 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Drosselklappensensor-TPS-101-Yamaha-FZS-600-DROSSELKLAPPE-13550-13D60-4HD-85885-/361403667980?hash=item542556560c:g:svIAAOSw2s1UxgsX Re: TPS Issue.. - darrsi - 20-11-15 (20-11-15, 10:26 AM)unfazed link Wrote: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Drosselklappensensor-TPS-101-Yamaha-FZS-600-DROSSELKLAPPE-13550-13D60-4HD-85885-/361403667980?hash=item542556560c:g:svIAAOSw2s1UxgsX That's a good find unfazed, it just shows how we get mugged off over here! Re: TPS Issue.. - infiniteloop - 20-11-15 Cheers for the link unfazed…great price for a new one..!! Re: TPS Issue.. - infiniteloop - 23-11-15 TPS now ordered (cheers unfazed..!) but looking at my old TPS I see that the screws on it have a small nub in the centre, do I need a special tool to remove the TPS..? Re: TPS Issue.. - unfazed - 23-11-15 Security torx, is what you need Re: TPS Issue.. - Jules-C - 23-11-15 Or butcher the old ones off with pliers/mole grips and use other screws to fit the new one Re: TPS Issue.. - darrsi - 23-11-15 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SECURITY-TORX-PIN-TX25-T25-ALLEN-L-KEY-STAR-WITH-HOLE-FOR-PIN-90-DEG-ANTI-TAMPER-/300858537495?var=&hash=item460c90f617:m:mvsmXgc9F2KKdioWaA4eM-w |
