Head light - zebadee86 - 07-11-15 Hi Are the headlight units on 99-00 model sealed units? The small bit that covers the bulb has come off and is rattling around inside the headlight and it is very annoying :eek Re: Head light - darrsi - 07-11-15 With a bit of jiggery pokery you can remove it out of the right bulb hole if i remember correctly. And yes they are sealed. Re: Head light - Grant - 09-11-15 I fished mine out through the rght hand side bulb orifice using some locking wire, twisted at the end to make a sort of lasso. Was a bit of a fiddle but it was out in a couple of minutes. Re: Head light - Deefer666 - 09-11-15 Remove it from the bike, remove all bulbs, screws, metal clips etc etc, put the headlight in a low oven for 20 mins. (Do not place it lens down on the wire rack!) This will soften the glue that holds the two sections together and enable you to pull it apart. Then do your repairs, place both pieces back in the oven & again do not place it lens down. 20 mins later the glue will be soft enough to push the two pieces back together. Job done and you can strut around the garage in the knowledge that you are truly a man that fixes stuff. |
