Problem with the fz1 - brooker81 - 13-10-15 Stuttering at low rpms like a 2 stroke when higher revs are reached seems to run like normal ? any idea's :'( Re: Problem with the fz1 - DekF - 13-10-15 Symptomatic of a coil-on-plug failing. Check for corrosion inside the plug caps but especially the far left cylinder ( as sat on the bike). If it looks clean, use a temperature probe at startup on the exhaust pipes to identify which cylinder is not firing properly. Then swap the cop to another cylinder to see if the stutter follows it. I replaced the cops & plugs a year before I sold it to you but it’s luck of the draw how long they last. However, with the limited info you've given it could be one of half a dozen different things but above is the most obvious & easiest to check. Re: Problem with the fz1 - brooker81 - 13-10-15 Thanks Dek. I think it is a coil found a video on youtube sounds exactly the same. feel a little winter project coming on. Re: Problem with the fz1 - brooker81 - 13-10-15 would you use genuine yam or non genuine garage are saying use genuine. Re: Problem with the fz1 - DekF - 13-10-15 Those coils were originally on a 2010 R1. Very low miles apparently. £80 the set of 4. I still have the original 4 which I assume only one of which is faulty. :-) Re: Problem with the fz1 - brooker81 - 13-10-15 can i give you a buzz dek? Pm me pal. |
