I had to ask her if she was coming back later to park it lol Re: Great parking? - sinto607276 - 12-10-15 (12-10-15, 08:39 PM)joebloggs link Wrote: Was a lass yesterday who took about 5 goes at dumping her car (forwards) finally leaving it at about 45 degree. Yeah I did that just after as I was just finishing my mcds latte then went for a wee Sunday blast ![]() Re: Great parking? - joebloggs - 12-10-15 I hear that using the fact that you have a red bike can be a legitimate get out of jail free card regarding speeding, something to do with the doppler effect ( they appear to be moving quicker than they really are) Re: Great parking? - sinto607276 - 12-10-15 (12-10-15, 09:24 PM)joebloggs link Wrote: I hear that using the fact that you have a red bike can be a legitimate get out of jail free card regarding speeding, something to do with the doppler effect ( they appear to be moving quicker than they really are)My bikes actually moving in the pics :lol Re: Great parking? - Exupnut - 12-10-15 Hi joe....really sorry but I think u have been doppelgänger 'd.,..it's confusing ur judgement....read the book of BLUE...chapter1.....don't buy a TRX850.....chapter 2....when u ride ur bike....do not trim hedge.......(unless u have bought the Mrs a cheep bottle of wine).....chapter 3 .......keep away from anything red....especially with the number 98 after it....LEST U BE INFECTED BY THE BUG OV FAZER!!!!!......:.be warned!!! .,,,,,;chapter 4.......don't listen to me I talk shit burp!!! If you move an inch to the left of the middle of the road a car will try and overtake you, and if you don't park bang in the middle of a parking space a car driver will take the piss and attempt to squeeze in. Bollox to that, I was taught well. ![]() Re: Great parking? - darrsi - 12-10-15 Getting a bit bored and fecked off with scooter riders on 'L' plates undertaking me as well. Was wondering if they've ever made some of them Gladiator type "ruin your day" wheel fucker uppers for the Fazer? Yeah.......thought not. ![]() Re: Great parking? - Dave48 - 13-10-15 two observations from an "old git" re parking; 1 Are parking bays getting narrower? Think the "standard" width for these was based (like built on garages on 1930s semi-detached houses) on the dimensions of an Austin 7 or 1960s Ford Anglia. The trend in "cages" seems to be "bigger is better"-perhaps the extra width of many modern cars is to accomodate the "fuller figure" type drivers/passengers. Park some of these next to each other correctly within the bay markings and someone isnt going to be able to open their door let alone get out :lol 2 I have the fortune/misfortune to live near Birmingham University and during term time every inch of parking space is occupied by students cars ( courtesy bank of Mum & Dad). Very few local residents left now to compete for spaces since most of these lovely old artisan type terraced houses have been bought by buy to let landlords whose skips are left on the road for weeks at a time. Now all this in itself is no big deal but half the little darlings havent been tested on their reversing/parking ability so cars left jutting out which makes life interesting when the local double decker bus meets the council wheelie bin refuse lorry! I usually avoid all these residential roads for 9 months of the year. Makes you wonder why they need to bring a car to Uni in the first place? :eek Re: Great parking? - BBROWN1664 - 13-10-15 :agree spaces aren't getting narrower but cars are getting bigger as you say. Councils always want to maximise revenue and sod everyone else so only make the bays the legal minimum (if there is such a thing) width to squeeze in that one extra car on a row rather than be sensible about it. My son leaves his car at home while he is at Uni as there is nowhere to park the thing. Re: Great parking? - the cueball - 13-10-15 spaces are getting smaller, and there is a minimum size most councils are meant to work too. I challenged a car parking ticket I got in Northampton for 'not parking in a marked bay', I proved that not only wouldn't my car fit in one (it's now too long and too wide for most new carparks) but that their bays were actually under their guidelines that they're meant to be working with. never even got a sorry for that! :rollin anyway, as for that parking above, I don't see any issues with it, but that's just me, I filter a lot so I'm used to cars/vans being that close! ![]() Re: Great parking? - BBROWN1664 - 13-10-15 Cueball, look at the white lines in the first picture. The van is not only parked half way across the bay to its right it has just been abandoned at an angle rather than parked. Re: Great parking? - the cueball - 13-10-15 yeah I saw that, still not causing any real issues IMO. can still easily get on the bike and ride away. one for the drama llama me thinks... :rolleyes :rolleyes :rolleyes Re: Great parking? - Val - 13-10-15 How do we know you have not parked after him? I expect him publishing a photo in some white van forum complaining about some foccers with red bikes... Just a random thought :lol |
