Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight twist? - Nigeunders - 05-09-15 Thanks in advance Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - bri h - 06-09-15 I don't think there is one that's unbreakable so I use a cheap one as a deterrent. Im sure if a tea leaf wanted your bike they would break any lock. :'( Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - mickvp - 06-09-15 If it's a disk lock ad they wanted it they would just lift it into a van. Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - Grayo - 06-09-15 I was once told by a traffic cop that all chains and locks have to be breakable to a degree in case the emergency services need to move your bike. (In an emergency, obviously). Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - tex - 06-09-15 Oxford screamer is quite good, well made, quite sensitive, but like previous comments they can just lift it in to a van, so used in conjunction with a good chain and lock on a post or something in the ground it is Ok. Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - sadlonelygit - 06-09-15 motrax vishas is as good as they get almax 16mm chain attached to something permanent is the only real solution..............or live somewhere nice ![]() Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - slimwilly - 06-09-15 you got your problems,,haha,, I have a disk lock,,string to tie on the handle bar as a reminder,,yeh===yeh===and no foccin key..over a year now , no foccin key Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - Nightfury - 07-09-15 Oxford Boss Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - Nigeunders - 07-09-15 Something like Nightfury http://www.halfords.com/motoring/motorcycling/motorcycle-security/oxford-boss-yellow-disc-lock Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - joebloggs - 07-09-15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCvO-fbJ7ec Leave one of these next to it Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - Nightfury - 07-09-15 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oxford-Products-OF4-Disc-Lock/dp/B00KYMH0BQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1441622394&sr=8-4&keywords=oxford+boss+disc+lock#customerReviews I have this one, but took the battery out because the alarm bit is crap. No matter what one you have, all they have to do is break the disc with a nice big bar. Or just throw the bike in a van, as has already been said. The reason I like this one is that it is a nice big deterrent for the opportunist thief. Re: Good evening guys can anyone recommend a decent disc lock that won't fall apart with a slight tw - Nigeunders - 07-09-15 Thanks Nightfury think I might get the one from Halfords and a big chain as well can use the chain and lock then when needed. |
