rider left footpeg loose - Paulfzs - 30-08-15 more problems... rider left footpeg is loose and has a lot of play... how do i solve this? Re: rider left footpeg loose - slappy - 30-08-15 How does it actually fasten on? Re: rider left footpeg loose - Paulfzs - 30-08-15 i cant quite tell, it goes through into the hanger but looks like possibility of a C clip Re: rider left footpeg loose - slappy - 30-08-15 See if you can actually remove the footpeg, if so is the shaft where it fastens on worn, or if there are any bushes worn that would cause it to feel loose. You need to remove the hanger first than unsrew the hex bolt and remove the foot peg. Having said that what do you mean loose? Mine left foot peg has some free swivel play and can rotate a little about 30 degrees. I hope that is normal and by design :lol Re: rider left footpeg loose - Paulfzs - 30-08-15 its well loose! looser than its ever been... this loose... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cULL5GHEf2s Re: rider left footpeg loose - fazersharp - 30-08-15 Yes you need to undo the two hex bolts on the left as well as loosening the gear change leaver bolt ( mark the position on the shaft first) then slide off the whole lot. The 10mm - i think hex bolt at the back of the kick plate from factory is fecking tight of tight town tighty so if yours is loose then it must of been removed in the past and not put back tight enough also it should have from factory a locktight on it. Take it out aply locktight and do it up to tight - tighty town, tight Re: rider left footpeg loose - Val - 31-08-15 (30-08-15, 11:57 PM)fazersharp link Wrote: Yes you need to undo the two hex bolts on the left as well as loosening the gear change leaver bolt ( mark the position on the shaft first) then slide off the whole lot. :agree Looks to me your hex bolt is loose. Re: rider left footpeg loose - Paulfzs - 31-08-15 got it off.... twisted a hex key trying to get the hanger off! the footpeg hex bolt was almost all the way out! done back up as tight as i could and all reassembled Re: rider left footpeg loose - darrsi - 31-08-15 That's not a sudden thing, how have you not noticed that before? Re: rider left footpeg loose - Paulfzs - 31-08-15 (31-08-15, 11:32 AM)darrsi link Wrote: That's not a sudden thing, how have you not noticed that before? Its always been a little loose but recently i did do a big long ride which was bumpy country lanes and a lot of motorway so im guessing this just finished it off. Re: rider left footpeg loose - fazersharp - 31-08-15 What physics are at play --- why is it that any vibration loosens a nut and not tightens a nut. Re: rider left footpeg loose - darrsi - 31-08-15 If your bike was an animal you'd be done for cruelty. :rollin Re: rider left footpeg loose - fazersharp - 31-08-15 Me thinks that you posted that one in the wrong thread Should that have gone in the choke one (31-08-15, 01:27 PM)darrsi link Wrote: If your bike was an animal you'd be done for cruelty. :rollin Re: rider left footpeg loose - darrsi - 31-08-15 (31-08-15, 01:33 PM)fazersharp link Wrote: Me thinks that you posted that one in the wrong thread[/quote] Nope!
