What tyres to fit - nickm - 20-08-15 Time has come for me to fit new tyres on my FZ8. I mostly do motorway riding about 40 miles a day. No racing or extreme speed. Been quoted £309 for Pirelli Angel GT by dealers.....that is too much for them. Another place quoted £265 for Michelin 4 gt and 235 for the 3. Any opinions? Re: What tyres to fit - slimwilly - 20-08-15 I have used these for 3 years, good tyre, quite long lasting http://www.metzeler.com/site/com/products/tyres-catalogue/Roadtec-Z8-Interact.html Tested here on an FZ8 http://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/2010/june/jun2910-metzeler-roadtec-interact-z8-first-impressions-/ Hope it helps, also when my garage ordered mine, he came back with two or three models of the same,i had the cheapest and they are doing great miles Re: What tyres to fit - farmer giles - 21-08-15 I've been using Dunlop RoadSmart II on my FZ8 and so far I can't fault them.. Re: What tyres to fit - stevierst - 21-08-15 Have a guess what I'm going to suggest? ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: What tyres to fit - nickm - 21-08-15 Just had Michelin Pilot Road 3 fitted and what a difference it's made to the handling. Find out how good they are after riding them in the wet. Meantime thanks to all for your advice. Re: What tyres to fit - Slydermac - 03-11-15 I have the Pilot 2's and they seem quite good too. Nice and planted in the dry and good feedback in the wet. Re: What tyres to fit - kitcrazy - 05-11-15 Ive just fitted RP4 but will probably have to wait till next spring to find out what there like :'( Re: What tyres to fit - david095 - 11-11-15 I've just fitted a pair of Road Pilot 3s but only managed 40 miles on them before the roads became too greasy - don't class myself as hero enough to take them out in this weather. :eek |
