Looks similar to the carbon version of mine?

Re: what can is this?????please - mr wayneker - 01-07-15

the thing is there are no sp markings on it and I need to find a baffle for it????

one other thing is tonight I went to a local bike meet BMAD down in Torquay and all the other fzs first bolt where
the foot peg is for the down pipe was on the inside and mine is on the out side...so when I came back I switched it to
the inside now my centre stand wont go down...it looks like I have stainless down pipes....is this right???? Sad

Re: what can is this?????please - bandit - 01-07-15

You have stainless downpipes & the stand rubber stop should not let the bolt/stand touch stop should hit the bracket on the link pipe first, is the bolt to long? mine bolts on as the others.

Re: what can is this?????please - mr wayneker - 01-07-15

not the stand rubber....the front part of the stand where it hinges hits the exhaust when you
try and bring it down..it comes down 1 inch then hits the pipe????

You can get universal baffles on Ebay, you just need to drill a hole, and obviously make sure you get the correct diameter.
I've got one on my Quill end can, but i cut the pipe down on the baffle to make it much shorter, but you wouldn't know at all when fitted.

Re: what can is this?????please - mr wayneker - 01-07-15

cheers for that...it all ready has a hole so just need to measure the hole :lol

Re: what can is this?????please - bandit - 01-07-15

Some aftermarket downpipes don't let you use the centre stand, I have Motad these retain the stand & have the little link pipes between 1/2 & 3/4 cylinders, Sandybikes & Delkavics don't whether these allow centre stand use I'm not sure.

Re: what can is this?????please - darrsi - 02-07-15

My Quill exhaust is actually a straight through race can but with a nice deep but non evasive tone to it, especially at low revs, but i just don't like the feel or sound of it with the baffle in it, even though the baffle is cut down.
My SP Engineering exhaust is just raw sounding, with the original baffle in, but also marked up and legal.
I tried it once without the baffle and as awesome as it sounded the attention i got was beyond ridiculous so i immediately put it back in.
Saying that, there's someone who keeps riding around my area who sounds like they don't have an exhaust fitted at all, not only does it sound terrible but the noise is obscene.

+1,
I have the stubby big bore, sounds like Lucifer himself is tearing me a new one when I open the throttle!

Re: what can is this?????please - mr wayneker - 02-07-15

can I get the SP with the link pipe and can hanger as a package?
and can you get the rear foot rest down with the SP can

to get this can lined up right ..it wont allow the rear peg to come down..i have to have the slice a bit squiffy
and my OCD wont allow me to leave it.

and I have no link pipes from 1-2...3-4 they just come together under the sump then go into one
couldn't I just hammer a dent in it where it wants to catch??

anyone else have the exhaust mount on the outside (bottom one)

Re: what can is this?????please - Nightfury - 02-07-15

The can you have looks like it could be made by Dominator exhausts in Poland. Although it is hard to tell.

The SP Engineering ones come with everything that you need, apart from the down pipe to link pipe gasket.

Here is the ebay listing for the pipe I have. (They have used a photo of my bike in the listing) You can see there is loads of room for the footpeg.

Your stainless down pipes are a 4 into 1. I wouldn't worry too much about what side of the mounting the downpipe bracket sits as long as there is no undue stress on the pipes.
You could hammer a dent in it if you want, but if you are as OCD as you say, you will always know that it is dented and not right!

(Don't tell anyone, but) I drilled the holes in the baffle about 2mm wider in diameter, it was way too loud without it fitted so thought I'd try a compromise and it definitely sounds louder than before.

Re: what can is this?????please - steeeve66 - 03-07-15

TubeTech, based just outside Dartford - now defunct although they still sell bikes from an outfit called Ride DMC. I got their last can a couple of years back.

Are you very friendly with your MOT tester then darrsi!? I was thinking of just cutting an inch off of the db killer, should have the same effect?
