Re: Engine Back to black - Dead Eye - 14-05-15 Black engine paint? Re: Engine Back to black - brooker81 - 14-05-15 no im mean cleaning it not painting it really dont think its that bad. Just to bring a bit of the shine back a bit anyone used this ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171317582875?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Re: Engine Back to black - BBROWN1664 - 14-05-15 Back to Black is more like shoe polish than paint and will burn off. The only way to get them black again after the paint starts to go it to repaint it. Re: Engine Back to black - Tmation - 14-05-15 Mr Sheen, does a good job of putting a shine on your engine. Just spray it on a warm engine and leave it. You need to wash the bike regularly and re apply, its much cheaper than back to black etc. As stated, anything you put on will burn or wear off after awhile Re: Engine Back to black - darrsi - 14-05-15 I've used Engine Brightener in the past, it works okayish, but it ain't great. I warn you now though, I eventually did a spray job on my engine and even after degreasing, jet washing and sanding, that shit will still remain somewhere, and i think it's the silicone in it that reacts to paint, it kept bubbling up, so bear that in mind. http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,8354.msg82143.html#msg82143 Re: Engine Back to black - brooker81 - 14-05-15 Thanks Darrsi for the info. :groan Re: Engine Back to black - Brixmis - 15-05-15 I use Armor All (silicon) It's for car interiors, but works great on lotsa stuff For paint I use Hammerite smooth black - spray can is good, brush tin works almost as well and it lasts friggin years. |
