Another successful R6 shock swap - zx10rgod - 11-05-15

I also recently bought a R6 shock from kebab19 and boy what a difference it has made. Amazing.
The quality of the shock and spring and all the other bits is top notch, and the comms throughout the purchase, supply and fitment phases were brilliant.

Top guy, top product, top result.

Deffo a recommended mod for the Fazer. Looking forward to another 70,000miles on it now!

Have you measured rider sag? If yes, can you tell me about your weight and the spring rate you chose?

Does any year shock from a R6 fit the fzs600's?  Or is it only specific years?
Is it just a straight swap of the shock or do you need new dog bones etc?

I believe kebab provides a mounting block to make them fit, they're not a straight swap!

Thanks for reply Punkstig
Sad bang goes another theory
I'd thought take off and replace, guess I'll need to figure more out, not too sure of what the 'mounting' block does Sad

I agree zx10god, the R6 rear shock conversion from Kebab19 is a great upgrade, my bike feels transformed. Smile

Kebab19 (Jeff) was very helpful and cannot recommended him enough  Big Grin

The r6 shock is a little shorter than the standard fazer one, so the mounting block corrects this! ( I knew previously that 'mounting block' is not a correct or even good term for what I'm describing, but couldn't come up with the proper name for it!)

It's cool, I knew what you meant :thumbup
I was just thinking in my wee head that it was a straight swap, but it'll need a wee extender block maybe a better name?

Amazing how we all get by by using different words :lol

Cheers again Punkstig
