What you trying to do anutz? Follow the wires back to under the tank and they should all be in connectors, unclip then undo the cableties etc bavk to headlamps etc and that's you got it out in one piece Smile

i am taking the front headlights off and the speedo - have a digital Koso one on the way and going to put some dominator lamps on it - i like the streethfighter look more than the faired look and with all i am doing i thought i would just crack on!

Yeah I gathered that but you still dont want to just cut right through them?? :rolleyes

If you get the wiring diagram from the download section, you can then use the wiring harness as it's on the bike now, all you have to do then is strip the wires back at some point, solder your new wires to the corresponding original fazer wires and then connect the blocks under the tank, makes for a far better and neater job, but you need to make sure you connect the right wires, you may well have some spare that will need to be capped as well.

Once soldered individually, heat shrink them, then put a cover over the whole lot, and fix them to the frame in much the same way as they are now, will look a lot neater.
Remember if your puting on heat shrink, that has to go on wires first before you solder.

You can get various coverings for the wires once that's all done, but amalgamation tape is probably the way to go, DO NOT USE INSULATION TAPE!  ITS RUBBISH AND WILL DETERIORATE OVER TIME.

I believe anutz is talking about that little plastic holder thingy clipped on the frame.

The whole thing comes off. There is a little knob on the frame. The plastic thingy clips on this knob. Simply pull upwards to remove it. You do not have to remove the tape.
