WANTED, FZS1000 - nick crisp - 08-05-15

Might as well pop it in here as well as searching ebay, autotrader etc  Smile

Low mileage, excellent condition, standard as possible. Really looking for sub 10k miles. If you see one whilst trawling the net or whatever, I'd really appreciate a heads-up, cash waiting for right bike. I'm in Oxfordshire, but will consider anywhere in the country if collection can be arranged.

MUST BE BLACK ENGINE AND FRAME VERSION. This is to be the base bike for my perfect Fazer, so nothing else will do.

Any colour paintwork  :lol

Wanted ASAP.

What mods are you planning to do?

By limiting yourself to standard (or close to) you might miss out on one thats part way to your dream  Smile

:lol

Bunch of cheeky Foccers, the lot of yers  :rolleyes

Most of the major stuff I want to do will come from the current bike: R1 forks, R6 shock, Ivanised carbs, rubbers and modded airbox. I wouldn't say I'm restricting myself to totally unmodded; whatever you see, if you think it might be what I'm looking for. Bodywork all standard and excellent condition, that kind of thing. You know, if it's got a hugger, different bars, minor stuff like that, that's ok  Smile

Sorry Lank, looking for lower mileage. Good luck with your sale though.

Yep, been looking at that one Grayo.

Confession time  :o

I have a slight problem of not being very mobile at the moment  :\ Is there anyone near Swansea could go take a look at this bike for me? All expenses covered of course? (God, I feel like an idiot now  :lol).

Re: WANTED, FZS1000 - noggythenog - 08-05-15

hmmm...seem to have focced up that above quote....perhaps im not the man :b

also I would question it being dry miles only because it is clearly soaking wet in the pictures :lol

plus the centre stand looks far more corroded than it should be from only being dry.

Re: WANTED, FZS1000 - nick crisp - 08-05-15

PM'd ya Nogs.

Re: WANTED, FZS1000 - dazza - 08-05-15

This looks very similar to the one that was on ebay last year and ended up being bought by my friends bike shop. Pretty sure it was a cat c or D. It's that tank protector that gives it away. Might be worth an HPI check on that reg number.

Good call dazza, will get it checked out if it looks a likely sale otherwise  :thumbup

Is that scuffs on the r/h side of the s/arm, or just reflection from the pipe? Didn't think that black paint was very reflective, but if wet....?

Re: WANTED, FZS1000 - dazza - 08-05-15

Just read that he purchased it in 2007, if that's true then not the same bike.

yeh theres a weird light on the bottom of the back wheel also that makes the paint look faded....ill reply ref the pm now Nick but obviously all pending Dazza's good shout above about HPI etc............or rather than HPI it...just send the guy a message directly saying that it looks like the suspect one and is it cat C or D.....he should hopefully come clean then.

Re: WANTED, FZS1000 - sinto607276 - 08-05-15

I would say the wetness is just a rookie mistake of washing the bike before taking pics, then either not drying it properly by hand or even waiting a day or two for it to dry. If he hasn't taken the care to do that right, what else has he slackened on? Maintenance and the like?
Just a thought Nick.
