Any need to "prime"... - anutz - 26-04-15 Another thread from me... Reason - is there any need to "prime" any systems after what I have done i.e. cylinder head has been off and cooling and oil systems have been drained and removed where applicable, fuel filter etc off and being re-fitted I have heard and read of some people having air locks in oil systems and destroying engines etc... I am sure on the old site, I read about someone who did just the above, left the bike ticking and came back, it had seized, air lock in the oil system... Anutz Re: Any need to "prime"... - His Dudeness - 26-04-15 If you wanted you could keep the cam cover off and take the spark plug caps off and crank the engine until you get oil up to the cams. No harm adding a small bit of oil around the cams from a bottle for a bit of extra insurance Re: Any need to "prime"... - red98 - 26-04-15 +1 ![]() |
