Don't know the manufacturer of mine, but I know it is from England. It is gel padded and super comfortable. My ass thanks it every time, even after a 800 km ride.  :lol

Re: decent seat - Frosties - 19-04-15

Could be a Dave Digger seat. One of the lads on here met him at some seaside exhibition and bought a FZS seat there and then. Good bloke and god price - about £130 exchange.

He sorted me a cracking seat for my Tiger

Re: decent seat - trudd - 20-04-15

I used an Airhawk on long trips and it's brilliant. 650 miles in one day last year on my 1050 Sprint with no bother at all.

Had a look at them years ago trudd and didn't like the look of them just sitting on the seat, but I do appreciate they do a good job as I know a few people that have used them and sang their praises :-)

I've got this,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-Fazer-FZS-600-SEAT-COVER-/131491706997?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e9d843875

I've got the standard padding underneath but I guess it's personal choice in what you want by way of foam density/stiffness.

Whatever you decide If you're going to spend a few bob on it I'd definitely get an upholsterer on the case if you're not manually dexterous . . . Wink

Re: decent seat - darrsi - 03-05-15

You may as well get one of these.......

I looked at that too, was thinking after I cut the foam etc and get the gel pad sitting neater, to maybe put that on instead, looks nice.
Is it just a cover? Looks a wee bit padded but better shape to original cover.

It's work in progress, I can see it taking shape, will need to trim the foam, maybe cut the gel etc to get a neater finish, and maybe get one of those covers celticdog mentioned, think that will finish it off nicely :-)

Re: decent seat - celticdog - 03-05-15

Seat tacking . . . would be a lot easier with a pneumatic stapler!

Re: decent seat - sinto607276 - 03-05-15

Still looks good, my mate has a heavy duty stapler, not quite pneumatic but better than a paper stapler, so my intentions are to cut down my foam a wee bit to take the gel pad (wish I bought two separate ones now) will prob need to cut mines down a fair bit as the bit with the fazer emblem looks quite angled, (is there padding/foam in there?)

I know I could just go and get a seat made to measure etc, but I like doing stuff like this and gives me satisfaction :-)
