When i have balanced carbs in the past i have just made sure they all read the same on all 4 gauges,no matter where the pointer on the gauge is, and mine look the same as yours.

As with slappy - although there is a recommended reading as far as I'm aware thats just the same figure as adjusting the tick over screw to the correct revs!

I got the impression from some posts on one of my first threads that it was the synchronization that was most important and that we are unlikely to see "manual" values outside the factory...

I do not know but i will be tinkering with mine once the cylinder head is back on...

Manual states 230-250...

Literally just balanced mine don't know what they're sposed to be but mine are equal at 2.5
Done my valve clearances they're spot on fresh fuel and filter gave the tank a swizz out
Been hard to start from cold a running a bit rough absolutely fine when up to temp though?
Test it tomorrow see what happens

I have the same carb sync kit as you by the looks of it, and mine tend to come in between 10 and 11.

As Slappy says, the key thing is that all 4 line up, but I am interested to hear if there's anything wrong with them falling into the red area as your illustration shows.

Re: carb balancing what numbers do i need - Paulfzs - 19-04-15

mine seems to run fine still pulls 120-130 at a push, i just lined all 4 up to where #1 cylinder was and it seems fine, i may well be wrong, not knowing fully what the adjustment screws actually change all i know is when i screw them in the cylinder pretty much dies down.

Take no notice of where the needles are, just get them all the same
