Lady Fazer woman in Bulgaria desperate for advise - juzzyroo - 11-04-15 Help!!!! I have been moused :-( or rather my Fazer has, I left her in a barn for almost a year when I first moved over here, and now the wiring loom is non existent :'( so I have bought a new wiring loom, fitted it, and just about everything I can think of I have done, but alas no spark in the spark plug (changed this section as well and read wiring diagram to ensure all in right order) Don't know what to do :'( :'( :'( :'( any advise please let me know, but can you do it in stupid persons language, because although I am pretty good with most terms and I have taken most bikes I own or have owned apart, when you get all technical I have no idea what you are talking about x Re: Lady Fazer woman in Bulgaria desperate for advise - ChristoT - 11-04-15 The silly / easy things to check for are: - Charged battery - All connections are clean, and everything is connected up correctly. Have you check the ignition coils? Re: Lady Fazer woman in Bulgaria desperate for advise - slimwilly - 11-04-15 i think you need to re-charge your Mouse :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol Re: Lady Fazer woman in Bulgaria desperate for advise - His Dudeness - 12-04-15 If it was working before it was parked up there's probably nothing major wrong, mostly likely is a loose connection or broken wire or something connected backwards. Does the engine turn over and there's no spark or does the engine not turn over? If it does turn over then you only have to check the circuit that controls the spark so that rules out a lot of stuff. Have you taken all the spark plugs out and confirmed there's no spark at all of them? If there's definitely no spark at all of them that points to the problem being something that is common to all the plugs rather than something that affects individual plugs so look at the wiring diagram and see what's common to all of them. I think it's unlikely to be plugs, caps, or coils because you'd have to have multiple failures at the same time for there to be no spark on any plugs. There's a good ignition system check procedure on page 8-6 of the workshop manual that'll show you all the components in the iginition circuit. Here's the manual if you don't have it already http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=8 I'd start with the simple stuff to rule them out like charging the battery and checking all the fuses are ok. I'd be checking the connections into the coils, make sure they're connected correctly. It's easy to connect them backwards. Then check all the connections and components back from there, there's isn't that many if you look at that wiring diagram.
