how much can your fazer take - sinto607276 - 08-04-15

been in discussions with other foccers and thought we'd compare how you load your fazer up for trips away etc
I'll start it off with my puny topbox, as I don't get away too much and I only need to put my helmet and gloves etc in it when I'm at work

just curios here,? does a bike have a weight limit? and if so what if you are fat, or have a pillion on,  and what if they are fatter, does that mean you might just fit a pack of ciggys in your pocket.?

Not as far as I can find. There are weight limits on trailers behind bikes, but not for the bikes. I believe manufacturer recommended maxima are used (typically found in the owners' manual), but are not law.

187kg all in, from memory,which includes luggage, top box, pillion, everything basically, but that's when your rear shock starts suffering, especially if it's the original, and it will definitely pay to have 15w oil in your forks rather than the 10w to make it much more stable up front.

Cleveleys to Preston daily. About 20 miles each way. I can sometimes leave my kit there depending on which site I'm working from. I'm used to the handling now, especially now I'm on the thou 8)
