spark plugs - moose - 04-04-15 hi went to change spark plugs on 98 600, number 1,2 no bother get to 3 cant get plug spanner on using a standard plug spanner any ideas. thanks Re: spark plugs - sinto607276 - 04-04-15 I've never had to do my plugs as just got the bike recently, but thinking if your using a plug spanner these are sometimes to long and you actually need on with a joint in it, there is also some socket sets that have spark plug sockets in them, allowing you to put that on then put the rachet on top, sometimes easier that way, I know from previous bikes I've had, some plugs ate easy, some not so much. Re: spark plugs - bandit - 04-04-15 Don't remember having a problem when I changed mine think I used a plug wrench with a joint in it like sinto said but if you've got the bike tool kit there is a plug socket in that & use the right size spanner in the kit to undo the plug.
