C-Spanner.. - infiniteloop - 26-03-15
I'm after a C-Spanner to adjust the preload on my '98 Fazer. Found this one on eBay but just wanted to check with you guys if it's the right one.

I am trying to adjust my shock as well - struggling to get the thing to turn!
Have the correct C-spanner....taking the gear shift off to give better access - the guard blocks things a little...

It is probably seized. Spray the area above and below the ring with WD40 and turn it down one notch before trying to turn it up.
You will need to use the extender on the handle to get the extra leverage. That is the piece at the top of the picture below

Been a while since the noggyshop ™ did business.......cue christo now telling us that deefer has complete tool kits :b .

The standard tool kit. If I remember right you could take the back wheel off with it but not the front. Bit Yamaha probably just expect you to adjust chain with it

I have 2 in my kit for some reason, a 5mm and a 4mm key, taking the measurement from parallel edges
