IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - DILLIGAFF - 23-03-15

Just bought and tested one of these....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005Q6CJI4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Cheap but works well AND of course they just reduced the price to under £10 !!!!

May work on a bike if the suction cap fixes to the inside of a fairing or maybe even the tank? (Not sure about voltage?)

First time I used mine I filmed a young girl drive straight through a red light !!!!

Worth a lookie lou.

Damm good heads up there - cheers, just bought one  :thumbup

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - taylor - 23-03-15

do you need the card and the other thing with it? I been looking for one, that looks fine.

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - DILLIGAFF - 23-03-15

Will need an SD card, bigger the better, but comes with everything else. Has a USB lead and a 12v car ciggie socket.
If you work out how to turn on the Infra Red let me know.
As I say you may find better but probably not cheaper?

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - Dead Eye - 23-03-15

Nice find, I've added it to my wish list for now and will probably buy it when funds aren't as dicey as they are right now

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - taylor - 23-03-15

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - the cueball - 23-03-15

I had one of these, worked fine for a few months, then it started to only record when it felt like..

not the best quality, or the easiest to use.

hope you have better luck than me... I use my Contour Roam camera in the car now as well as a helmet cam.

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - darrsi - 24-03-15

I know it says you preferably need a 32Gb Class 10 SD card but which SD card is it exactly, there appears to be a choice, like micro sd, ultra micro sd, etc?

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - Dead Eye - 24-03-15

Standard SD size (aka not Micro or Mini)

Nice one, i ordered a camera yesterday for my mum's motor.
If i haven't got an SD card hidden somewhere at home i'm sure my boss will have a stash of them at work, although i s'pose any card would do with the adaptor.  :thumbup

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - Frosties - 24-03-15

Found Youtube clip of a Test of this camera - looks good to me. Can't wait for mine.

Set the Youtube playback setting to 720(HD)

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - darrsi - 24-03-15

32Gb SD card apparently gives you 6.5 hours recording of video/audio on a loop when set to 720p, but it's advised you buy a Class 10 SD card. (for those of you who can't be arsed to read the reviews)  :thumbup

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - Dead Eye - 24-03-15

Note that Class 10 only requires the card to perform at a minimum Read / Write speed of 10 MB/s and that you can get varying cards even at this classification.

The card I linked to is UHS-I (Ultra High Speed I) rated and performs at up to 45 MB/s despite the minimum requirement still being 10 MB/s. Take all of this in to account when buying a "high performance" SD Card before you get caught out like a few others who reviewed probably did.

More information, should you wish, is available here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - Dinger1962 - 24-03-15

Ordered mine last night along with class 10 card as recommended in the reviews when it arrives will let you know how it goes

Re: IN CAR RECORDING CAMERAS - bigralphie - 25-03-15

I might use mine as a home security camera set to motion detect and have it look at the bike through the dinning room window  Big Grin
