Yoshimura full exhaust system ? - Freza - 17-03-15 I've been trying to find these on the internet but to no avail. The reason is, I made a huge mistake some 6-7 years ago when my friend purchased a crashed FZS600 with Yoshi full system installed. He later repaired it and, naturally, I wanted to see what's the difference between his and mine (I have stock downpipes and Arrow slip-on). The difference was very noticeable. His bike had more torque and more power, also sounded a bit deeper and scarier. He asked me several times if I would wanna buy that exhaust (complete), but I refused because I thought it wasn't necessary, so he sold it to someone else. Now, I'd sell a kidney to have one, because I find myself remembering each year how good it actually was. :'( So, if anyone knows of a Yoshimura full exhaust system for FZS600, either being sold as new or used, please let me know :kiss Re: Yoshimura full exhaust system ? - darrsi - 18-03-15 It may have sounded a lot different, as does my current exhaust set up, but I've had mine Dyno'd a few times and there's been no major benefit in torque or power at all. If anything the Dyno man said the best exhausts would be the original ones, especially referring to the downpipes, although they would be a tad heavier due to materials used. Re: Yoshimura full exhaust system ? - nick crisp - 18-03-15 I'm actually surprised that Yoshi ever did a full system for a Fazer. I always thought they kind of specialised in top end sports stuff really, though I accept I could be wrong there. I would also think that you wouldn't get the full benefit of such a system without jetting and air filter changes. I had a GSXR750 slabby to which I fitted a Pete Gibson full system, which was a direct copy of the Yoshi works system for that bike. With jetting copied from Mick Grant's superstocker and open carbs, it certainly had more grunt than standard ![]() Re: Yoshimura full exhaust system ? - Freza - 18-03-15 His fazer had some sports air filter, maybe KN, and of course it needed to calibrate carburetors. He didn't dyno it, but I felt it's stronger than mine. Even changing the air filter alone to a K&N can make the bike feel more responsive, if you haven't already got one I'd give that a go for starters. Re: Yoshimura full exhaust system ? - Freza - 18-03-15 I have one, too. Been having it for years now. Great stuff, no need to replace, just clean and spray 8) |
