are my lights working correctly? - sc0ttie - 07-03-15 [smg id=2471 type=preview align=center caption="headlights"] As a new owner of a FZS600 Fazer and having been away from motorcycles for quite a few years, I am wondering if anyone can look at an image i created of my Fazer's lights as I am not sure if when using headlight, 2 lights should be on or one? I have taken a photo of each setting of the headlights, so is it normal to have only one main light on and a small side light for riding or has my bulb blown? I looked at the bulb today and it looked ok. But just thought I would ask to save me further worries about it? Re: are my lights working correctly? - emjaydee - 07-03-15 I know it looks daft but photos are right. There is a mod in which you can do to have both lights lit on the main beam. All I need to do tomorrow is get a bulb for the missing one in the taillight and i will be sorted for lights ![]() Re: are my lights working correctly? - limax2 - 07-03-15 (07-03-15, 07:14 PM)emjaydee link Wrote: I know it looks daft but photos are right. It does not alter anything on main beam. It makes quite an improvement if you ride in the dark on dip. Changes a very poor light to just a poor light ![]() Re: are my lights working correctly? - emjaydee - 07-03-15 (07-03-15, 09:42 PM)limax2 link Wrote: Not wishing to be pedantic but the mod puts both lights on when on dip beam, (by using the redundant dip filament in the right lamp). Changes a very poor light to just a poor light Sorry, that's what I meant :\ Re: are my lights working correctly? - fazersharp - 07-03-15 But the dip light in the old full beam once mod done is ---or looks brighter as it is pointing more into the road as opposed to into the kerb like the OEM one dip Re: are my lights working correctly? - sc0ttie - 08-03-15 What does the mod involve, it is a very technical process? Re: are my lights working correctly? - Paulfzs - 08-03-15 the mod is adding another wire to the plug of the right bulb but theyre still shockingly bad!! try this!! http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,15666.0.html Re: are my lights working correctly? - Frosties - 08-03-15 Here you go Scottie Should take you 30 mins with the correct headlight plugs - don't forget the lamp upgrade to Osram Nightbreakers or Philips Extreme. http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,181.msg179321.html#msg179321 Good luck and we need pics after you've finished :lol Re: are my lights working correctly? - fazersharp - 08-03-15 Because im just like that----------- I added an in line fuse for the MOT, whip the fuse out and you got OEM lights for the correct beam alignment Re: are my lights working correctly? - sc0ttie - 08-03-15 just realised i spelt parking wrong :rollin Re: are my lights working correctly? - Paulfzs - 08-03-15 have you ridden this in the dark yet? |
