Road legal nice sounding exhaust. - snakeyprince83 - 03-03-15

Hi peeps, new to biking, learning as i go mechanically (not much experience at all) i have a 99 fazer and i would like to put a new exhaust on her to give her more of a voice, i dont want something that is going to piss the neighbours off to much but i want a nice tone, also what is required after the exhaust is fitted, are they plug and play or do i need to make adjustments elsewhere to compensate for the new can? give me your recommendations and tips, much appreciated!

I picked up a nice used micron off fleabay the other day, a nice fruity sound and very rude with the baffles removed Wink I was going to get one of the simmi ones that are being sold there.
I guess it depends on you budget, the simmi can be tailored to suit you and come with removable baffles if you want loud.

Hey snakey, welcome to the nuthouse mate, this question pops up quite often. This and tyes are firm favourites.

Allot is personal choice and there is allot of choice to be had but basically the end cans are all plug and play.

If i had to recommend one then the only one i had was a simmi performance which was good value for money, easy to fit and sounded nice but not too loud with the baffle in (i took it straight out though :b )

If i still had a 600 & wanted another end can then id go for a blue flame, basically because they're also good value and look pretty damn nifty.

I love my beowulf zorst !!
Sounds lovely, not to loud on tickover and fruity enough when your going for it and thats with the removeable baffle in, ive never tried it without to be honest. Id recommend you stick a k&n air filter in at the same time  :thumbup

There are a couple of us on here with Blue Flame exhausts (we have the oval, twin spout versions on 3 of our bikes) and everyone seems to have good things to say about them - road legal, good sound, great quality (the one on my Aprillia RSV 1000 has been on for 11 yrs) and available from £150 upwards new.

+1 for Blue flame, I have their single spout (their cheapest one) and it sounds lovely  Smile

Look on YouTube for FZS600 exhausts.

Thanks guys, i have looked on youtube but poor sound quality doesnt really do them much justice, so far blue flame and fuel exhausts are out in the lead, pay day cant come quick enough!

YouTube 'Darrsi Moto GP', just drilled out the 6 holes in the baffle by about an extra 3mm each, the neighbours will love you. All BSAU marked up.  :lol
