FZS1000 Clocks - bigbluebear - 02-02-15 I am looking at buying a set of speedo clocks to replace my existing ones....my old clocks are measured in KPH and have been fitted with some kind of modification gizmo to return them back into MPH.....Focced knows where and what this modification actually is but keen to get back to standard MPH clocks. Does anyone know if these can be fitted as a direct replacement without the existing or any modifications etc Re: FZS1000 Clocks - nickodemon - 02-02-15 You will have a speedo convertor fitted. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speedo-Conversions-KMH-to-MPH-/111373393344?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item19ee5f1dc0 It fits to the end of your speedo cable and into the back of the clocks. If you want to change the clocks to mph ones, you simply take the old clocks off and unscrew the speedo convertor. Refit the speedo cable to the mph clocks. Simples ![]() Re: FZS1000 Clocks - Tmation - 02-02-15 I thought we have an electronic speedo, as in no cable. Too many bikes in the garage! If it is an electronic speedo it will have one of these plugged inĀ -http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speedo-speedometer-converter-chip-E-SVA-IVA-KMH-to-MPH-CARTEK-CK-UN-09-/380258508684?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item58892c5f8c Same principle applies. Un plug and change clocks ![]() Re: FZS1000 Clocks - unfazed - 03-02-15 Remove the seat and remove the right side panel (the one under the seat). The speedo sensor lead is located under this panel, most likely there is a speedo healer plugged into the loom somewhere around there.
