Fazer 98 End Can - Macca4786 - 15-01-15 Evening All Spent another evening browsing the Internet looking for a new end can for my 98 Fazer. Any one got any good sites to have a look on ? And any advice or recommendationsof what to put on ? Had a look at eBay but full of Chinese parts which am not to keen on ! Anyone point me in right direction Thanks Danny Re: Fazer 98 End Can - darrsi - 15-01-15 Depends on your budget really, they can really vary in price. Also depends what condition the bike's in, if it's been looked after then spending a little extra can be very excusable. Use earphones or plug your computer into a sound system and have a listen to a few for starters, https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fzs+600+exhaust Re: Fazer 98 End Can - bri h - 15-01-15 if your looking for a new one sp engeneering a good place to start. I've got the SP Engineering Moto GP can on mine at the moment, but occasionally swap it for a Quill race can, for a bit of peace and quiet. :lol Re: Fazer 98 End Can - odbguy - 15-01-15 Iv just been watching clips on YouTube and came across what I assume is yours darrsi .. sounds sweet !! Yeah, they're both on there. The Quill has a lovely deep rumble to it and is very sociable at lower revs, then livens up quite a bit at higher revs. The Moto GP is a lot more raw sounding, and people generally look around to see what the hell the noise is, and at higher revs it basically screams, but it is perfectly legal. I keep meaning to try it with the baffle out but reckon it'll simply attract too much attention. Re: Fazer 98 End Can - Nightfury - 15-01-15 darrsi, Is that the 250mm round stubby? Re: Fazer 98 End Can - HarryHornby - 15-01-15 I love my BlueFlame. Great service from the guys there. Can sounds fab without being offensive. The db checking guys at Brands Hatch really liked it. The way I put it, my bike sounds like a bike now! The stock can sounds like a fart in the wind. Did you notice any power increase? They claim 4.5 BHP in the mid range. Can't honestly say I really noticed, I've had the bike up to a fraction under it's maximum speed, and it still had more to give, so it's always been nippy anyway. The sound puts a grin on your face though. If you want the bike to generally feel better though then a K&N air filter definitely helps for a much crisper throttle response and is highly recommended. Think they're just over £30 on Flebay but it'll be the last one you ever buy for the bike. Re: Fazer 98 End Can - Millietant - 15-01-15 I'm a Blue Flame fan (oval, stainless, twin spout) - long lasting, good looking and good noise, adjustable from nice to louddddd. And best of all, cheaper than most other exhausts I've seen. We've got them on both Faxer's and my RSV - I reckoned that if it could stand nearly 20k mostly high rpm track miles on my RSV V-twin and be as good as new, then they'd be fine on the Fazer's. So far, so good. |
