Hole in my shoe (punctured wellington actually) - YamFazFan - 04-01-15 Has anyone had any success using an ordinary bicycle inner tube puncture repair kit to patch a small hole/split in wellington boots?.They are the rubber type rather than the plastic/vinyl material.I don't want to have buy any special adhesive cos they are not that expensive to buy anyway (just used for garden & car washing etc..). Cheers guys.YFF. Re: Hole in my shoe (punctured wellington actually) - fazersharp - 04-01-15 Npe - no good for me I tryed the exact smae thing and it would not stay on, have a go be all means let me know if it works I also thought about rubbing it with a hot knife but the rubber is so thin. Re: Hole in my shoe (punctured wellington actually) - Gingernutz - 04-01-15 Someone else is fixing wellies http://youtu.be/TCGXUrmN4TE the glue is 2.45 on flea Bay Re: Hole in my shoe (punctured wellington actually) - darrsi - 04-01-15 (04-01-15, 09:56 PM)Gingernutz link Wrote: Someone else is fixing wellies http://youtu.be/TCGXUrmN4TE the glue is 2.45 on flea Bay I think i've used this glue before on a pair of boots years ago. Once you've opened it you need to store it in the fridge otherwise the whole lot goes off really quickly. Re: Hole in my shoe (punctured wellington actually) - chris.biker - 05-01-15 I would be weary of repairing them if the puncture is in the side wall. I first had a pair of boots fixed on the join of the sole to the leather upper using that glue, that's where i learned about it, and it's ridiculously strong but also flexible. I was in no doubt it would tear again in no time but a few years later and they're still going strong, i still use them if working on the bike as i don't mind if they get scuffed. It's a marine strength waterproof glue designed primarily to fix wetsuits, rubber boats, etc. so it really is good gear. Personally though, i think i'd splash out and get myself a newer, faster pair of wellies. ![]() Re: Hole in my shoe (punctured wellington actually) - midden - 05-01-15 Crafty plugger .........
