Tucarno Urbano Muffs - JoeRock - 06-11-14

What model is it I'm after again?

Is the neoprene hand grip covers I want? The one for bar ends?

Make sure they have the plastic ridge at the front to stop them pushing on the levers. Good for 70 mph :-)

I've got the neoprene R361-1 and they're great. They fit on the bar ends and have the plastic insert to keep their shape and away from the levers.

You definitely want ones that fit across your bar ends. I've just butchered my Givi's to do so, it helps compared to before! Good for more than 70mph Wink

Yeah, they're bigger than the neoprene ones, and warmer!
Not only that but there is no obstruction to any buttons- with the neoprene ones the rigid insert not only prevents them folding onto levers but also means you can't use the 'pass' switch, with the neoprene ones I also find it difficult reaching the high beam switch so if you want to flash anyone you're knackered!

Not forgetting they were originally made for scooters with the r321's are for real bikes!

They have a built in insert which stops them pushing the levers into use but at motorway speeds they can push onto the levers if that makes sense!?

I've tried both and much prefer the bigger ones!

Is it only me that thinks 50 notes is a rip off for what these are?

I have handguards for cool weeks and universal cheap and cheerful - and butcherd to suit me - muffs for winter.

I had a look at the site thinking neoprene would look better but not at that price.

Never seen this getup on a bike bike.
Looks weird but the old man in me wonders if my kidneys would be warmer 8)

Guys with the neoprene ones, what are they like at "cruising" motorway speeds? ANd have any of you others noticed the issues punkstig had has with levers? They're going on my ZX9R - I've got heated grips so keeping hugely warm isn't too much of an issue as long as the wind blast is off my hands, would just rather get the smaller ones if I can get away with it!

Fitted to mine - They're good for a ton up on the Fazer with no folding whatsoever. Had to cut the thumb off though to have confidence with the indicators.

I'm beginning to debate getting a set of these as well... the wind chill and heated grips are causing the annoying phenomenon of having toasty palms and frozen fingers

Just trying to figure out if I can justify the expense Wink

I reckon I've got a couple more weeks before it gets cold enough that I cave in Tongue

It is rather annoying isn't it! To be honest the last few days have warmed up a fair old bit and I'm not even using my grips on the way in to London - fingers crossed it carries on all year like it did last year, but at least if it does start to get cold I'll be prepared!
