end can choices - scoobie_paws - 18-10-14 Afternoon all Am thinking of replacing the end can on the fazer and wondered if anyone has used or heard of delkevic or simmi exhausts? Both look similar spec and only after a standard round stainless so prices are almost the same too but no idea if they are quality ornot ? Simmi says lifetime guarantee, delkevic 12 months. Any thoughts are welcome. Have stainless system on just now but not legal end can :O Re: end can choices - darrsi - 18-10-14 You can have a look on YouTube for starters to hear what they sound like. ![]() Re: end can choices - ChristoT - 18-10-14 (18-10-14, 02:49 PM)scoobie_paws link Wrote:Afternoon all If you want your ear talked off about how good Delkies are, talk to Fizzy Pies! :lol :lol Re: end can choices - stevierst - 18-10-14 Got a delkie on both my Thundercat, and a stubby one on my R1. The one on my TC is a stainless oval with no baffle. Sporty, but not loud, sounds good having the nuts wrung off it. ![]() The R1 is a different story. Them stubbys are friggin loud!!!! Re: end can choices - Arbie - 18-10-14 I got a simmi on mine. They made it at 400mm length so is bs stamped. Very nice quality and sounds nice with baffle removed and not offensive to the ears. Only slight gripe is connecting pipe is an extremely tight fit on original downpipes. Don't know about the Delks but im sure they are good quality. But if you go for simmi you wont be disappointed. Re: end can choices - RMT1983 - 18-10-14 Beowulf on mine, Sounds amazing!!! Re: end can choices - freeware - 19-10-14 I took Venom by Motad along with downpipes. Exhaust became a little too noisy for my taste after 4-5 months of use. http://youtu.be/1g9TvjvJ6Vs Re: end can choices - Doddsie - 19-10-14 Mines got a Delkevic on it. Sounds nice and roarty and quality is spot on. Id recommend them. Re: end can choices - Punkstig - 19-10-14 'Specs' of different cans are of no importance to an old fazer, yoy might get a couple of extra bhp but literally only a couple, so the choice comes down to what you like the look of vs cost and of course the sound it makes! Removing baffle barely made a difference. decent sound, but wouldn't wake anyone up. For commuting through London I often wish I had something louder. Otherwise no complaints with it. Re: end can choices - pilgo - 19-10-14 Beowulf on mine also-good quality, made in England, sounds lovely and rorty without doing yer nut in on long motorway stints. i must try it with the baffles out one day ! Re: end can choices - J_Dub - 20-10-14 I've got a Simmi Performance, 400mm oval. It cost about £125 complete with link pipe. I've had it on for a year now and it does seem to be well made, has a removable baffle, is BS stamped and made in the UK - sounds great. It was as someone mentioned a tight fit on the original system but went on with no issue when I replaced the downpipes with stainless motad/venom. Re: end can choices - papercutout - 21-10-14 I really need to meet some other Fazer riders with different cans so we can all compare what they sound like! Mine will probably get looked down on for what it is, but it sounds great IMO and has the ratty tatty look I wanted, at the cost I wanted! Re: end can choices - ChristoT - 21-10-14 Get to a meet, or better, set one up! ![]() Re: end can choices - Davew - 21-10-14 (18-10-14, 03:25 PM)stevierst link Wrote: Got a delkie on both my Thundercat, and a stubby one on my R1. what length/shape delkevic have people used on their Fazer's? there's a 450 round and 350 oval. I'm presuming the 350 is louder?! Re: end can choices - Dave48 - 21-10-14 Scorpion oval stainless on mine-not too loud-quality finish & good price when bought at last years NEC show. 15 mins to fit & so much lighter than standard "drain pipe"! |
