Does anyone know if any brand of rivet link fits different brands of chain? Thanks.

You'd probably get away with it if it's the same size chain but is it wroth taking the risk? I don't think so. Is it a continuous chain that you want to split or is it already split and you lost the link?. If it's continuous take the swing arm off and fit the chain it's easy plus you can grease your swing arm bearings.

Thanks. It's 530 chain.I lost the rivet link but have a different brand one knocking about. I'll take the advice and just buy one of the same make.
