weston bike night-the long way round - red98 - 27-09-14 had a few days off this week so decided to go to the weston-super-mare bike night on thursday,last one of the season so worth the effort.i live in high wycombe , jct4 M40 approx 30 miles west of london,the easiest route is straight down the M4 / M5......but ive got all day so not doing that  ......A40 is 1 mile from home so off i go high wycombe,oxford,whitney,cheltenham,gloucester,monmouth and into the brecon beacons ,onto abbergavenny and breakie at the oasis cafe,back on the A40 i head to crickowell and onto llansantffread ,a left turn takes me to talybont-on-usk over the river usk,right turn onto the A4558,a quick left down to talybont reservoir and a stop for some piccies,a few miles down the road and another reservoir,pentwyn reservoir,more picies,up over the mountain and down the other side to the brecon mountain railway,was hoping to take a ride but missed the train by five minutes  :o .....nice tea and cake in the cafe though  ,i`ll do the train ride another day,good excuse to get back out on the fazer    times getting on now and ive arranged to meet markwales and greg at the magor services at 5....i head towards cardiff via merthyr,ystrad mynarck,bedwas and a short stop at caerphilly to visit the castle and of course more piccies,quick stop at the millennium stadium then onto newport,mark and greg arrive bang on time,a quick chat and fuel and we`re off to weston.....M40 over the bridge,M49,M5 and onto weston for 6.00pm....meet with boris,esetest and fazer 390 a good turnout of foccers for a mid week meet....a good chat and coffee at a good event  ,will be back next year  :thumbup [size=78%] [/size] [/size][size=78%] its dark now so the ride home was a bit boring M5,M40 to swindon  A420 to oxford and back onto the A40 and home,335 miles in total,a good day [/size] [/size][size=78%] [/size] Re: weston bike night-the long way round - red98 - 27-09-14 .
