Belly pan - Doddsie - 18-08-14

With or without???

Re: Belly pan - Phil - 18-08-14

With.

Re: Belly pan - mtread - 18-08-14

With............... It covers up the dirty bits  Wink

Re: Belly pan - Panthor - 18-08-14

With, will probably help keep the downpipes a bit more protected and matches the hugger nicely

Re: Belly pan - Mick-H - 18-08-14

Just had the same dilemma on my 1000, decided to go without over winter and with come summer. reason being I can see where all the muck is and it's easier to clean off.
Great looking bike BTW.

Re: Belly pan - darrsi - 18-08-14

With that colour scheme i think it looks better with it on.

Re: Belly pan - chunk166 - 18-08-14

Looks better with the belly pan

Re: Belly pan - noggythenog - 18-08-14

Not trying to be awkward...i do like belly pans

But i say with this one.......Without Doddsie

Lets face it your bike wont get dirty enough to warrant the protection by a belly pan........it's a tricky one....you want more bling...but 1 bit of bling too much & it can look shit....i know only too well as i couldn't stop.

If you absolutely had to have the belly pan then id say it would need to be in Black....or that the white from the main fairing needs to be carried on the belly pan also to make it 2 tone.

Re: Belly pan - rustyrider - 18-08-14

I've got the exact same belly pan on mine.  I took it off at the weekend as it isn't possible to change the oil filter with it on (well you can change it, you just can't get it out!) and while it was off painted the downpipes (the original rusty mild steel ones).  After I'd put them back I looked at it to see if I preferred it with or without.  With......

Re: Belly pan - fazersharp - 18-08-14

Thats a no from me.
Ive never thought the fzs 600 belly pan looks quite right

Re: Belly pan - Doddsie - 18-08-14

I changed the oil filter without taking it off, bit tight granted. Belly pan has been on it since ive had it, I Know where youre coming from Nog, it is a lot of unbroken red and I quite like the look of it without, but that might just be because its different. The rain and crud still gets in there and I tend to agree with Mich H that its easier to keep clean without it as you can get to everything unhindered.

Re: Belly pan - esetest - 18-08-14

Without.

Re: Belly pan - Dead Eye - 18-08-14

On your bike Doddsie, I'd say with Smile

I'm not always a big fan of them, but it works on yours

You actually changed an oil filter without being arsed to undo 4 screws?  :lol

Re: Belly pan - darrsi - 19-08-14

There's no need to respond Doddsie.........you can't possibly give me a valid reason.  Wink

Re: Belly pan - midden - 19-08-14

With because of the colour coded hugger.
Rusty No as it doesn't match the hugger

Re: Belly pan - RustyGubbins - 19-08-14

With. But it needs some sort of black flash on it to continue the downward decal lines from the rear, parallel to the front fairing lines.

Nice looking bike.

I have a belly pan on mine and I think it looks mint (though, not the same bike).  Big Grin

Re: Belly pan - Janet - 19-08-14

I think the OP's bike looks better with the belly pan

I prefer the hugger to be in black then it isn't immediately noticeable.  Without one there's this slab of black under the back end and personally I think it looks too fussy with it any other colour.  Mind you, I do now think my bike looks (is) dirty even when I've done my half hearted efforts at cleaning it......

Re: Belly pan - Yamazer-92 - 19-08-14

Without, but I have never liked belly pans. Nice bike btw!
