advice - kitcrazy - 12-08-14 if your caught doing over 100mph in a 70 is it a definite ban? Re: advice - stevierst - 12-08-14 Not necessarily. That's up to the magistrate. Re: advice - dazza - 12-08-14 How much over 100 ? Re: advice - kitcrazy - 12-08-14 102 :o Re: advice - Doddsie - 12-08-14 :lol Re: advice - noggythenog - 12-08-14 Seem to remember a previous thread regarding our very own speed demon on a yellow bike. Although he was under 100 I think it was the case that they take all of the available factors into consideration ie the traffic, weather and exact circumstances so that it is more punishable if you were on 1 wheel and overtaking and it was pissing down with rain. Mind you if a camera gets you then they wouldn't have so much surrounding information. Good luck Re: advice - kitcrazy - 12-08-14 manned equipment on the motorway. Re: advice - dazza - 12-08-14 Might be lucky, definitely a 6 pointer and hefty fine at the least I would have thought. Pretty sure there's a site you can go to that gives examples of speeding conviction results. I was surprised how many 100 mph + got away with just points and a fine. Perhaps someone else on here can put a link up. Although as Stevie said, ultimately it will be down to the magistrate on the day so bit of pot luck. Good luck with it Mel. I know it's no consolation but 100 mph isn't really fast for modern bikes in the right conditions. I think they should change the law. (Unless your name's Keratos). :rollin Re: advice - kitcrazy - 12-08-14 only owned the bike 2 hours :rolleyes looks like a trip to cumbria :'( Re: advice - nick crisp - 12-08-14 I was always under the impression that anything of 100mph+ was an instant ban. But here it is dazza: http://www.speed-trap.co.uk/Accused_Home/SpeedVSFines/SpeedVSFines.htm Scroll down to the long table and you'll see most examples didn't get a ban. Of course, there's no mention of circumstances, but looks promising. Still not heard anything on mine - 4 months ago. Good luck mate :thumbup Re: advice - kitcrazy - 12-08-14 thanks mate. just got a letter asking for driving license number and was i the rider? Re: advice - nick crisp - 12-08-14 That'll be Notice of Intent To Prosecute? (NIP) Re: advice - kitcrazy - 12-08-14 yep thats the one.
