Wanted GEN1 TPS or Early R1 - Red Ceri - 05-08-14
Wanted a GEN1 TPS, Part number 4XY 85885 00 so same as 1997/8 onwards R1
Just checked the price new on Fowlers site, needed smelling salts after they picked me up off the floor :eek

Thought you were looking for one for the 600
Miss read you post, The 600 one is the same as the early carburettor R1
The 1000 one is the same as the Yamaha Royal Star and some suzuki ones.

The one from a Suzuki Van Van will fit but you have to swap around two of the wires to get it to work.
I think I have a modified suzuki either on the my bike or as a spare.

Pricey aren't they. If it's the Gen 1 1000, the T Max 500 uses the same and I just replaced mine after buying a tragic pair of T Max carbs of eBay for 25 quid and it's on and working perfectly. There's a pair on there right now

:thumbup actual model is XP500 TMAX(5GJ1, 2001)
They are made by Kehin and the Suzuki ones brand new are 1/3rd of the price and are exactly the same.
