Exup cables - dazza - 30-07-14 Hello Foccer's, Has anyone got some exup cables for sale or know of a cheaper solution to oem. Went to 're -grease my exup today and snapped the cable just above the nipple. :'( Re: Exup cables - devilsyam - 30-07-14 whoosh mite have some in his post further down Re: Exup cables - dazza - 30-07-14 Cheers Luke, Will ask him, in the meantime my local bike Shop are going to have a go at re -cabling it so fingers crossed. Re: Exup cables - slappy - 30-07-14 Pretty certain they will not, the FZ1 ones are quite short. Re: Exup cables - b1k3rdude - 30-07-14 if you have the original cables then Venhill can do you replacements.. Re: Exup cables - AyJay - 30-07-14 Wemoto do aftermarket replacement cables for 50 quid or so. I've been using them for the last year and they've been good. Slinkyglide is the (rather crap) name. Re: Exup cables - dazza - 31-07-14 Thanks for the replies fella 's, a few options to explore there for the future. Local mechanic put a new cable in and soldered a nipple on the end so will see how it holds up. Re: Exup cables - ghostbiker - 03-08-14 Just fitted a set of the Wemoto ones. One of mine was very worn, other is looking good. held up so far but only done a few 100 miles on it so far. Looked ok though. only slight problem was one end was a little rough. 2 mins with emery paper and all is fitting well. Re: Exup cables - AyJay - 06-08-14 They're ok. The paint on the adjusters soon get a bit of surface rust but I've done about 20k on them so far and they're working fine, so they'll last. Re: Exup cables - Davebo - 07-08-14 Venhill supply an inner cables set for about a tenner. Feed 'em through the existing outers (assuming they're ok), attach the included nipples and Bob's your uncle. |
