I'll tell you exactly what it is...its from the early 19th century from Burma and is quite rare. I know as my uncle had an reproduction one and by the look of the hinges it is original and in fair condition and is probably worth 10-12k....good find mate :thumbup
But there again I may be in bullshitting mode again :lol

[size=1em]Looking at the style probably 19th century. Teakwood inlaid Iron clad Rajasthani doors. The embossed lion motifs make it pretty pleasing to the eye and make it look a lot older than it probably is. Looks like recycled teak carcass.
Origin could be anywhere from Rajasthan to Tibet or far east but not as far as China or Japan. If it looks easy to dismantle it will date it even later which would make it reproduction.
Price anything from £250 - £2,000... I've also seen repro's priced up more than antiques.
How much did you pay for it?

looks a bit new to me, don't like the catch to hold the doors shut, there should be lots of wear on that as it has to be turned every time it's used?
