Well, it seems me and The Pillion have decided that long distance touring is our goal so, as I cant keep 2 bikes, 'Jock' has to go.
He's a 2008 in classiest Ocean Depth blue (thanks for correction) with 31000 miles ridden sensibly. There's 6 months T&T and the tyres are Pilot 3s - rear 2000 miles old - front around 4 thou. A new OEM chain/sprok set went on over winter as it was laid up for a few months while I worked on the house. I changed the fork oil to better balance the bike. Otherwise its standard.
There's early S/H only as I prefer to do the job right and cut the sharks out.
I'd like to get as close as poss to £2800.
Although the mileage is average for year, its still in great condition - no scuffs or damaged panels - everything is there and works as it should. Aside from very minor wear marks its pretty near showroom condition. It lives in a dry garage in North London and is kept clean/lubed/adjusted.
Enough chat. What's on it?
All keys/books present. T&T to Feb 15. Scorpion cans - they wake up the pedestrians alright! I ride baffles out but still have them. Full Givi racking for Oxford textile panniers (used twice and incl in sale) and a top box (not in sale but negotiable ie, I'm trying to hang onto it). Oxford hot grips. R&G frame and bar end sliders. Tank pad. Ultra bright lamps (went in this week when I serviced it). Fender extender. Bar risers for more relaxed touring. A nearly new magnetic tank bag with clear pockets for phone and maps. Oh, and I put a brand new heavy duty EBC clutch in it this week. Didn't need it. The problem was the thrust bearing knackered. A 20 min fix for 6 quid! Feels like a brand new bike now. I have a guvnor lock and chain for it and an all weather cover with chain holes to secure it to front wheel.
This one stonking bike. Rides and handles like new and looks like it will happily go another 30 thou. We've been to Edinburgh on it without a problem but the mountains of southern Europe beckon. :eek
Who's going to step up and give Jock a new home?
