As per title. I'd quite like to put carbon caps on my exhausts, but need a rough temperature to work to. They're free flowing, if that makes any difference.
Anyone ever taken the link pipe temp?

link pipe on mine gets pretty hot but the actual can is usually cool enough to touch even if I've been on a long run.

I'm going for worse case scenario here. If I build to link pipe temp, I know I'll be fine. Could anyone stick a thermometer on their link pipe after a run today?

Not having a thermometer to hand I used my tongue instead, if my cup of tea was that hot I'd be happy, however, I'd like to point out my can would have a different temperature to anyone else's as it's a stubbied scorpion.
Are you after temperature for a standard can or aftermarket as the different flow rates will create a different temperature-

Oh, of course. I'm after a pessimistic value to work to, but my cans will be dual free-flowing high level Scorpions

Titanium pipes start turning blue at about 350 iirc so the link pipe will be about that seeing as they go blue... You won't make carbon able to withstand that temp. The end cap should be fine though
