Foccer relay from Rotherham to Chatteris - ChristoT - 08-06-14

Any Foccers who could help ferry a rear fairing from Rotherham, Yorkshire to Chatteris, Cambridgeshire?

Thanks!

Fit on bike or need car?

Could bungee across the back of a bike, I suppose. I'm waiting for the seller to get back to me with dimensions, and possibly a shipping quote. It's a Ducati back end for the project bike:

Bump? Seller hasn't replied about postage, so still looking for hands ferrying it South.

Ta!  Smile

No one able to help?

Re: Foccer relay from Rotherham to Chatteris - risticuss - 11-06-14

If someone can get it to Grantham, I could get the wife to pick it up and drop it in Peterborough. Or Melton Mowbray way and I could pick it up on't bike. I have Friday afternoons off so that would be the best time for me. Could probably get it to Chatteris as well.  Big Grin

Re: Foccer relay from Rotherham to Chatteris - ChristoT - 11-06-14

Thanks, Risticuss! Any Yorkshire Foccers able to take the fairing to Grantham?

Re: Foccer relay from Rotherham to Chatteris - ogri48 - 11-06-14

I'm going through Chatteris to ramsey and Peterborough from norwich Sunday, can't see as that helps but just putting it out there in case it does...

Re: Foccer relay from Rotherham to Chatteris - ChristoT - 11-06-14

Thanks, Ogri. Unfortunately, it's the bringing it South that's the problem! The Northerners don't want to let anything go to the south!  :lol :lol :lol

Re: Foccer relay from Rotherham to Chatteris - midden - 12-06-14

Probably be quicker to drive up yourself Christo. Perhaps see if any foccer near to the seller would be willing to collect from him and hold it until u can collect it at your convenience

Even better use Hermes  courier service shouldn't be expensive to collect and deliver.

Re: Foccer relay from Rotherham to Chatteris - ChristoT - 12-06-14

The seller isn't replying to messages, and I don't want to spend £50 on diesel for a £40 fairing if Foccers are going that way anyway.

To add to that, the seller isn't being very communicative.

He's probably got pissed off..........have you actually bought and paid for it

and the £40 - 50 in fuel depends how much and how quick you want it and how much a new one would cost. You could also turn it in to a social day out perhaps meet foccers up there for some chips Smile Christo I'm sure you've spent that on a ride out before without worrying Smile

Oh Gods, yes. And that is why I was living of 11p noodles last year!

Also, last year, I wasn't ploughing every spare penny into getting the bike roadworthy. I was ploughing every spare penny into the fuel tank.  Smile

Thing is, I don't want to buy and pay for it without a way of getting it down 'ere.

Christo, where you are you could always survive on stolen carrots if things get tough... Wink
Or if you ventured out tick fen way, stolen onions.
Or be really adventurous, a couple of miles further out and it's stolen potato heaven. Fish the drains and you got Zander.

You have a free fish and veggie feast on your doorstep..... Wink Smile

What if someone could collect and post on cos it would cost about £3 with Hermes?

That would be ideal if someone could collect for me. Midden said Jacko and DDtwelve are near there, I'll be PM'ing them later
