My FZ1 - slappy - 30-05-14

A picture of my 2007 FZ1, less than 10,000 miles, totally standard. Just done 120 miles on it and very happy with it. Even my wifes pet rabbits seem to like it! ( Thats assuming the pictures have uploaded ok. )
So now I need an exhaust for it, but I am unsure about how one would fit as the only joint in the original is in front of the exup. So this might be a bit of a noob question but how do the aftermarket ones fit?

That grey rabbit does not look very happy.  did you park it on his tail  :'(

BTW. nice bike.

Nice one Slappy, bit of a Gem then, looks very clean & glad you like it.

Ive got allot to learn about these bikes, for now i'm just happy to ride it......i dont think the exup actually does anything on these apart from change the noise the bike makes so it can be taken out without ill effects but thinking back to Deks bike i think he had an exup elliminator chip installed so I'm not sure if every bike with an aftermarket can & removed exup needs one of those too???

Re: My FZ1 - Drax - 30-05-14

You remove the exup cables to the motor, remove the monstrosity of a standard end exhaust, then slip on your new, erm , slip-on!

There's a couple of good clips on YouTube that show you how to do it.

It's NOT necessary to remove the cat with most aftermarket slip-ons or have it re-mapped!

You can if you want obviously... Smile

BTW - good looking bike.

There should be,well was on mine a clamp joint just after the cat,,behind the rh footrest. it is easy then.
