Do carbs need rejetting after fitting a K&N air filter? - kawasutra - 21-05-14

Having searched through the forums it seems the general consensus is that they don't.

However, has anyone had the bike tested on a dyno to see if the carbs needed rejetting?

Not had it done yet, but there's a place near me that apparently offer free dyno runs on a Saturday so I'm thinking about heading along some time.

My bike's been on the Dyno a few times, they don't need touching.

Thanks Darrsi. Was it a free dyno run as well?? Where did you take it?

I'm gonna go ahead and order a K&N filter!

Free?
I wish..... :\

You should notice the bike breathing more freely with a K&N, so once it's in i doubt you'll even consider a dyno anyway.  Smile

Aah, PDQ! Have had previous bikes on their dyno in the past.

Now, a filter from K&N directly costs 40 quid plus VAT and maybe shipping, but flea-bay seems to have them for  ~£30. Puzzling. Anyone shed some light on this discrepancy??

Ebay's fine, don't worry about it.
