Gen 1 Air Induction System - CharlieDee - 18-05-14 How many of you foccers have removed the AIS?? Have you had any issues with the engine once removed? ![]() Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - Tmation - 18-05-14 Yes and no ![]() Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - Kosmic Kartman - 18-05-14 Yes and no :lol Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - fireblake - 18-05-14 As above Mickey Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - eddie - 18-05-14 No gain and no pain Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - Mick-H - 18-05-14 Another yes n no. ![]() Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - VNA - 18-05-14 Yes and no. It just pumps air into the downpipes when you close the throttle in order to burn off any partially combusted fuel, it's an emissions thing. So it has no effect on the engine whatsoever. Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - Captain Haddock - 18-05-14 Take it off, extra weight and harder to get to the spark plugs, no difference in performance whatsoever just a few more dead badgers rolling out of the hedgerows behind you from the emissions. Badgers are bastards anyway and taste better with a bit more hydrocarbon content, foc em! It's good to annoy brian may the fuzzy haired git. Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - dickturpin - 18-05-14 AIS gone...never to be replaced.. ![]() Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - Red Ceri - 18-05-14 another Yes and No Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - CharlieDee - 18-05-14 Cheers guys!! ![]() Is there only Ivan's that supply a kit?? or is there a supplier in the UK/Europe? Apologies... just spotted S G Motorsport Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - PieEater - 19-05-14 I used the Holeshot kit, had to order it from the states (www.holeshot.com) because I didn't get on with tapping out the ports as per Ivan's kit. Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - esetest - 19-05-14 You need a good quality tapered tap and cutting oil , I used a small adjustable spanner to hold the tap . Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - mickvp - 19-05-14 just ordered a holeshot kit myself. Dont fancy trying to get in beside the frame with a tap. the caps look like a slightly neater solution to me :rolleyes :o Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - PieEater - 19-05-14 (19-05-14, 07:20 PM)mickvp link Wrote: just ordered a holeshot kit myself. Ill just "borrow" some form work ![]() Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - samsung - 24-05-14 i got rid of the AIS system about three years ago,I used the holeshot kit from the states. It cost about 45 quid.Very easy to fit.I think someone on this site was selling the caps, not sure though. What i do know is after fitting, it makes changing the plugs easier. ![]() Re: Gen 1 Air Induction System - unfazed - 24-05-14 Another yes and no, I also used the Holeshot kit.
