Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - kitcrazy - 10-04-14 cool nice one mate :thumbup Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - adeejaysdelight - 10-04-14 That was a good price mate. You maybe sold yourself short? I just got my 390 a few days ago. Having an issue with the RAM mount (see my thread on the general page). Give it a good going over when it arrives and let me know if you have any issues. Cheers mate Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - ogri48 - 10-04-14 Penny got it down to 330 when we bought it, so we used it for the hols and lost eighty quid onnit in a year , I can live with that ..no 390 on the way, I asked pen to order one off Amazon but she read up on the forthcoming 590 and has held off until we know how much it will be. Personally, I think ill be just as happy with the 390 ( I loved that 350), but I'll wait awhile and see like she says, there's no hurry. Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - adeejaysdelight - 11-04-14 The 590 is around the £560 mark :eek I had a look myself. I don't need, or really want, a 5 inch screen on the bike. Too distracting. When its that close it will look like a 47 inch flatscreen. Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - bigralphie - 11-04-14 I dont understand what the windy roads bit gives you ? My 350 finds windy roads on shortest distance/no motorways settings Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - richfzs - 11-04-14 If it's the same as the windy roads on my tomtom (and why wouldn't it be) it's an alternative to the "shortest" or "quickest" options. It's the fun option. I used it "in anger" for the first time on the way to trier, through the eifel mountains last year, and it took me down some glorious, challenging, roads that I would never have found, going either quickest or shortest. So good, I'm making a point of going back on my way to Austria in June. Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - bigralphie - 11-04-14 So its like a separate map of back roads ? First time I turned it on, I was just entering a small town. It had me turn left just past the centre, then again, and we headed through the houses, feeling more and more like it was just into a housing estate. I started talking to it "you'd better know what the fuck you're doing", then we popped out on to a road that tracked a valley top, suddenly plummeting down through the trees to the valley bottom, lovely curves all the way, a wee Bridge at the bottom, a tight right turn, then some proper tight hairpins back up the other side of the valley. Couple of Dutch Motorcycles parked up on one the hairpins taking photos of their adventure. Proper 1st gear hairpins, having to slip the clutch it was so tight and steep. Glorious day. I'm sold on the feature. When you've had enough fun, or the clock is ticking on, flick it back to quickest and make some time up. Then back to winding roads :-) Re: as new garmin zumo 350lm - ogri48 - 13-04-14 Can't wait to try it rich, though it's got its work cut out finding some decent roads in Norfolk.... ![]() |
