Starting bike after carb clean - leviathanrising - 07-04-14

This is a follow on from my previous post.

How long should it take until the engine starts to come back to life after cleaning filthy carbs (yes this I think was the problem, especially with clogged pilot jets). How long should it take to crank over?

My fuel pump is clicking like the clappers, so I'm under assumption the carb bowls still need filling up??

Ta dudes, and dudettes.

It takes a minute or so to fill the carbs, and the pump may cut out too early (presumably a safety feature)... if so, switch the ignition off and on again to reset it. Once the pump stops properly try the starter. If the pump keeps going every time you switch off and on check to see if one of the carbs is flooding.
Also check you turned the fuel tap back on. :lol
